December 14, 2000 - ThursdayAs usual, I've been looking forward to writing all week, or well, all the two days that I've not written. Actually, the big thing that prevents me from updating, I think, is the worry about coming up with a new pic of the day to announce an update. :-P Of course, since they're pics of the day I probably ought to be updating them daily, but it's hard to find interesting pics, I suppose. That's why I resorted to that AIDS one and the skulls from Thailand one--I couldn't think of anything else. :-P I've been contemplating a writing a "thought" about Hawaii, my adopted homeland, for the longest time, but I've never managed to get my thoughts together. It doesn't look like tonight's going to be the night either. It's about 1 a.m. Luckily for me, I have no finals tomorrow, and my ICS 212 professor just emailed me saying that he'll allow me to take an incomplete in his class (Thank GOD!) as long as I finish the coursework by January 7th and I get at least a 65% or better on my final. Yeekness. Anyway, it appears that grade-wise, this semester will truly be the pits. I can't even get an A, it seems, in my leadership class--it looks like it's gonna be a B. Even my professor was surprised--he looked at it again, said, wait, that's not right, I must be missing something here. . . but nope, he wasn't. It was all there. I missed too many classes, and they counted towards participation. It was just hard to believe, I guess, since I did well on my papers and such, and participated in class. I'm getting a C for my philosophy 317 class so far, if I don't bomb my final. I was going to raise my grade by doing some essays, but I have to do essays for my philosophy 445 in order to not fail. Actually, she didn't even guarantee a pass. She was just like, you haven't even completed the minimum to pass, you would at least need two more essays. So I'm going to do two more, and hope that my final won't suck too much. As for my ICS classes--I have *no* idea what's going to happen to me, but it can't be pretty. :-P But it's okay. I'm happy. Why am I happy? Because someone left me a message on my message board. Yay! Nothing could make me happier, at this moment in time. |
